Soprano Anastassiya Kozhukarova, public's favourite nominee of the 2014 Salzburg Voice Festival and finalist of the II Leo Slezak International Singing Competition, joins the Roster of Artists of the Mahler Philharmonic Society in Vienna.

A recent laureate of the 2014 Shizuoka International Opera Competition (WFIMC), held in Japan, Ms. Kozhukharova has performed all over her homeland in Kazakhstan, Italy, Luxemburg, Austria, Germany, South Korea and Japan. Highlights of previous seasons include the stages of the State Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet, Kazakh Concert Hall, "Zhas sakhna" Theater, first staging of Bach's St Matthew Passion by Illarion (Alfeev) at the Great Hall of the Kazakh National Conservatory named after Kurmangazy. She has performed as a soloist with the Kazakh State Philharmonic Orchestra and with State Symphonic Orchestra conducted by Yerbolat Akhmediyarov, Rinat Salavatov, Nurzhan Baibussinov and Vag Papyan as well as with the Mahler Philharmonic Orchestra at Schlosstheater Schönbrunn as a finalist of the 2014 Leo Slezak International Singing Competition. Her most recent operatic debuts include Königin der Nacht in Die Zauberflöte, Donna Anna in Don Giovanni, Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor, Addina in L'elisir d'amore and Musetta in La Bohème

Anastassiya Kozukharova graduated from the Kazakh National Conservatory named after Kurmangazy in Kazakhstan and The Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, class of Prof. Yadviga Rappe. In addition she participated in masterclasses held by Madame Monserrat Caballé, Theodore Coresi, Nurlan Bekmukhambetov; Marco Balderi and most recently participated at the 2014 Salzburg Voice Festival, where she was chosen as the public's favourite nominee at the Great Hall of the Leopoldskron Palace in Salzburg.

Ms. Kozhukharova is currently the recipient of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Foundation and Artist of the Mahler Philharmonic Society in the city of Vienna.
